How do the shifted raglan seams protect the shoulders under a heavy pack load?

Traditional shirt designs place standard seams directly along the top of the shoulder. When you strap on a heavy multi-day backpacking harness or a loaded climbing pack, that rigid stitched ridge gets crushed directly into your skin, causing painful hot spots and raw tracking within a few miles.

What are the thermodynamic benefits of the deep quarter-zip front opening?

A standard crew neck layer or a full pullover forces you to stop and completely remove clothing layers when your core body temperature spikes during a steep trail ascent. The deep front zipper mechanism functions as a manual control valve for your torso climate.

Will the hood stay securely in place during high-speed mountain cycling?

Traditional outdoor hoods rely on bulky plastic drawstrings and cord locks that bounce around and whip against your face when you pick up speed on a descent. Our scuba-style hood features a tailored, ergonomic perimeter trim that anchors the fabric flush against your hairline and ears.
