We couldn't bring ourselves to put plastic or PVC mouths masks against our nose and skin, so we created these soft and tightly knitted organic cotton face - mouth masks, which have become so protective and useful to us and our customers in so many ways over the years (we started making them in 1997). People use these organic linen face mouth masks while cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, garages, boats, basements, attics, their cars, their pets (especially when cleaning their pets' teeth). Of course, now with COVD-19, these organic cotton face mouth masks have proven to be invaluable. Many customers use them on their own, or with a layer of our organic mask filters/liners or hankies or lint cloths for extra protection. Nurses and doctors have told us they wear our organic cotton face - mouth masks, then put on their N95 masks on top so that their skin touches a soft organic material. Our organic cotton jersey face mouth masks can easily be disinfected by dipping in boiling water for a few seconds. Hang or lay flat to dry and steam iron as necessary.

From Science Magazine, which interviewed George Gao, Director-General who oversees 2,000 frontline employees at the Chinese Center for Disease Control: "The big mistake in the US and Europe, in my opinion, is that people aren't wearing masks. The virus is transmitted by droplets and close contact. Droplets play a very important role - you've got to wear a mask, because when you speak, there are always droplets coming out of your mouth. Many people have asymptomatic or presymptomatic infections. If they are wearing face masks, they can prevent droplets that carry the virus from escaping and infecting others."

Tip: Put a drop of your favorite calming essential oil on the bottom of your organic mask to add aromatherapeutic serenity throughout your day. This has certainly helped take the edge off the stresses of travel for us.
